Chris Earnshaw has 25 years experience in the Japanese pharma-ceutical market in both senior positions in multinational corporations as well as setting up start-up companies. He not only has experience working on all sides of the pharmaceutical industry, from MR and working in ER in hospitals in Japan to management consultancies, but he also has had executive positions in the securities and construction industries, and is called on to advise in various other industries. Chris is bilingual and qualified in neuroscience, marketing, management and as an Emergency Medical Technician. Author of "PdP Japanese Pharmaceutical Tariff" published by Jihosha and "The World OTC Market" (in Japanese) published by Yano Research.
Erick Benitez has spent more than 7 years in the financial market in Japan, working as a consultant for major international firms. He has also held a senior position as project manager in General Electric in Japan and in the US. Erick worked extensively across Asia representing multinational corporations, managing projects in Singapore, Russia, Japan and elsewhere. Erick earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Business from the Monterrey Institute of Technology (Mexico) and later received a Master of Engineering. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is the founder and current Vice-President of the ITESM Alumni Association Branch in Japan and is fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese.
Anti-cancer Agent A small Japanese biotech company had difficulty as its product was being used off-label to treat cancer and it feared repercussions.
Medical Device The manufacturer of a hand-held testing device had difficulty in expanding the market.
